AIS proAIS download
I am trying to check the operating status of my 650 via a windows 10 laptop. I have downloaded the USB drivers (at least the software says ' ProAIS USB Driver v2.00 has been installed on your computer').
I have also down loaded the sw version 1.15 software on the computer.
The issue is laptop will not recognized the 650. I can see that they are connected, since when power if off to the 650, the red LED is lighted when the USB cord is connected.
What am I doing wrong?

RE: AIS proAIS download
Welcome to the Raymarine forum adfinger,
Please note that the ProAIS2 software rather than the ProAIS software should be used when interfacing the PC to an AIS650. Additionally, all power and data connections to the AIS650 must be disconnected from the AIS650 when interfacing it to the PC. The PC's USB port will power the AIS650. When running the ProAIS2 software, the program's COM port selection field will need to be configured to select 'AIS CLASS B TRANSCEIVER (COM x)', where x will be the port number automatically assigned by the computer. The operator will then click on the applications's CONNECT button to establish communications with the AIS650.
